About Me

Hi there, my name is Sebastian and yes, I am that goofy kid in the photo on the left. I always come out goofy because I am not photogenic whatsoever and it freaking pisses me off but let’s move forward because I don’t want to dwell in that negativity. Ok, so I am going to tell you a little bit about myself: My name is Sebastian Caula and I’m 19 years old, almost 20 years old with my birthday being on the 6th of November and I’m an adventurer, avid Netflix watcher, and a worrier of problems that may not even be there. I know people have the idea that being an adventure translates to the full-time international traveler but at least with me, that is not the case. My sense of adventure tends to be of the local kind, whether it be to explore a new beach north or south of my hometown or attending a new and fascinating museum, or trying swimming with the dolphins for the first time in my life. To me that spells adventure! I don’t need a fancy and expensive trip to find adventure because I can find at home and at a less expense. Talking about cheaper alternatives, back home in my cave, I have Netflix and the reason for this is to watch shows and also due to the fact that I would rather pay to view tv shows and movies rather than pay for cable, end of wasting more money, and hearing about how trump caused toilet paper price increases. Netflix is a beautiful thing because it does only resist against #TRUMPMEDIA but also always help me to kill my boredom. Honestly, my boredom has led me to watch these two great Netflix shows that I enjoy, The 100 and The House of Flowers. Jeepers creepers! these two shows are amazing! I’ve binge watched The 100, at least three times in a row to the wee hours of the morning on school nights. It’s that GOOD! The other show, House of Flowers is more of a Mexican soap opera, being that my friend is Mexican, that ‘s the reason he brought me into the show’s universe. It’s just so interesting to see how a perfect family turns out to be not so perfect and how they make you piss laugh while at it. All in all, that is a little bit of who I am and what it is I like to do during my free time, that I almost never have because of a busy schedule! But hey, cheers to being human, right? *Clinks glasses*

Place (s) I Have Been too:

Beginning with the trip to Washington D.C., I visited the nation’s capital in October 2008, right before the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. It was the first time in my life that I had stepped foot outside of my home state of Florida. And boy did 9-year old I have a rude awakening when he was met with cold weather, busy city streets, and a claustrophobic downtown. The first time I set foot outside of the hotel I was speechless and had like this panicky feeling because everything was so close to each other, it was like I couldn’t breathe and I was like I am going to get swallowed by that concrete structure. Of course, being there after a couple of days, my anxiety started to subside and the historic landmarks where ever more a distraction for me. I visited places such as the Washington Monument, The Lincoln Memorial, The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, The Smithsonian Museum, The National Air and Space Musem and wow I love, love American history but those museums were on another level, at least from what I could remember you know. I just love natural history like a lot! But back to visiting the White House, my parents, my godmother and I applied through a Florida congressman to take a tour of the White House and being that pretty cool itself just doesn’t encompass how cool it was to be yelled at by secret service. So, we were walking down the stairs from the second floor and I was tired from walking the whole city and I casually leaned against the rail on the staircase and I was told by a secret service member, and angrily, “You can not be doing that” and 9 year old me was terrified because Omg I was yelled out by a government official but now that I think about it to this day, I’m so honored to be yelled at by secret service, like that doesn’t happen on a day to day basis for the average citizen. I felt so awesome and empowered when thinking about it. So yeah, that’s the first time I stepped foot outside of Florida. I actually have funny stories about from another trip I took to North Carolina but I’ll leave that one for next time :).
