GO OUT N’ VOTE

Good Morning viewers! I originally blogged about recent films and movies, elaborating on their theories and concepts, but today I am taking the time to encourage you to go out and vote in the midterm elections today, November 6th.

As from what you have seen in the news since the 2016 presidential election, whether CNN, MSNBC, or FOX News,  you understand that this election is highly important and will determine the next two years and from there on, the next four years when a new president is elected in 2020. You should be aware of many issues that are at stakes, such as funding for Medicaid/Medicare, funding for education, the impact of Trump’s tax cuts on the middle class, defending women’s rights, the uprising of white nationalism, and border patrol sent to the Mexican voter to deter the caravan carrying thousands of immigrants ascending from Latin America. Having said that, You have a voice! You decide who will be elected to office to work on those issues, so go use your voice today at the polls by casting a vote for the candidate that you believe will help transform our country for the better. You will have till 7pm tonight to cast your ballot which allows for no excuses. If you work a day shift then go in the afternoon and if you work a night shift then go NOW! Remember, you will decide the next two years and ultimately the next presidency! Go vote and help us create the America we all want! Be there or be Square!

Voting Information:

  • The Last day to register was October 9th, 2018 and I hope that everyone who is old enough to vote registered before the deadline.
  • About two weeks from your registration date, you should have received a voter information card with your registration number, registration date, precinct, polling place, and political party.
  • Your polling place tells you where you need to go to cast your ballot. This may be a community, church/congregation etc. If you do not have this card then visit the Supervisor of Elections website and click on “Voter Information Lookup”. Then scroll down and click “Access ballot and precinct information” to find your polling place.

Happy Voting 🙂
